Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British-American sitarist and musician. She was first in her age group to be a member of an award from the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shakar, a young rising star on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She is Ravi Shankar's student, and the daughter. Born in 1982, she was raised in London. Her childhood years were spent in London as well as New Delhi. When she was only 13 the first time she performed at New Delhi took place.
