Selena Gomez, an actress and singer, is a household name across the world. She is the star of Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place is one of her best-loved shows. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. She was born July 22 on 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Parents include Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. The mother of Selena was only 16 at the time Selena first came to the scene. When she was 9 she got her first work in show business when she got the role of Gianna on Barney and her Friends. This was when she became one of the children who performed with the most well-known human-like purple dinosaur ever created. Selena was involved in several episodes from episodes 7 and 8 between 2001 and2003. Interesting information: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends in the same time period also, was a co-star with Selena. Selena Gomez left the show and auditioned in several other films and programs however, she did not achieve any success. The role she was offered was a minor one in the 2003 film Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) and a different one as Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. The character of Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her in the 2006 film Brain Zapped, for which she also wrote a music.
